In an effort to broaden the spectrum of this fine website, I am happy to announce edition #1 of "The Melting Pot" . It is my goal with this article to introduce and highlight some of the bands on the "lighter" end of the spectrum of the Nashville Rock Scene. It could be pop/rock, melodic rock, roots rock, soul...hey as Billy Joel said, "It's Still Rock N Roll to Me..."

Nashvillerock.net has traditionally been geared towards the "heavier" end of the scene and that is great. There are some great heavy bands in this town! I myself am in a pop/rock band, but have been welcomed with open arms by head bangers all across Nashville by hanging out at this website. One of my coolest musical moments was playing and helping produce the original Music City Mayhem and being the "lightest" band on the bill (by a LONG shot!). The heavy bands and musicians that come together on this site are some of the best! That being said, there is a lot of music that many would consider "rock" but that is not featured here. So, I am here to feature it!

Just looking at my "friends" list on MYSPACE, there are several bands that I know I will be talking about soon: Someday Company, Luke Brown, Blue Morning, Lynden, The Drew, Sharif Iman, Nissi, Nathan Meckel, B. Young, JPaul.....heck the list could go on for days...

If you know of someone you would like featured here, let me know and I will be glad to include them!
