ANGEL'S IN ANAHEIM

Jan. 18 - 22nd, 2007

With visits to various booths such as Sampson Technology, ESP Guitars, TonePros, Coffin Case, Groove Tubes, Dean Markley Strings and many more, this years’ NAMM 2007 experience would be sure to exceed my expectations.  Angels in Anaheim represents all the faces captured this year through my lens.  Thank you everyone for being so kind!

So, many of you already know that last year I attended NAMM 2006, with the legendary guitarist of Queensryche, Michael "Whip" Wilton. This year held strong for me, and I was lucky enough to once again be able to follow him around and capture NAMM moments in time.

Thursday - January 18th, 2007
I started out by heading to Groove Tubes booth to say Hello, to a long time friend Jimmy Wiggle.  Jimmy is a designer for Groove Tubes and works with some of the top names in the industry.  Walking up I saw Jimmy talking with Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick.

Next up was a run in with Michael Anthony of Van Halen.  We stopped for a quick chat with Michael on our way to see Rick Derringer.

As you can see, so far my Thursday was off to a good start and Michael Wilton wasn't even due in for a few more hours. As I turned the corner heading back to Groove Tubes I heard music coming from the Dean Markley Strings booth.  As luck would have it, I got to walk right into the booth and watch Rafael Moreira' (ex Christina Aguilera, Pink, Marc Anthony) and his new band, Magnetico, strum out a few tunes for us.

Once Michael Wilton arrived to the Convention Center we spent the rest of the day saying hello to the artists you are about to see in the photos below.

Friday - January 19th, 2007
After a long night of drinks and greetings, I arrived back down in Anaheim just in time to photograph Michael Wilton and Mike Stone signing at the Tone Pros booth.  We had a great time hanging out here and meeting all the fans.

Our next stop was a signing for Hughes and Kettner Amps where we were treated very well.  Michael signed with guitarist for 3 Doors Down, Chris Henderson.

Friday night was loaded with tons of friends and meeting of more fans and stars.  I had a chance to hang out with my good friends from Matt Oree's band and Monster Magnet.

Saturday - January 20, 2007

Saturday, like previous years, proved to be filled with many faces, parties, signings, and shows.  As we headed over to the ESP Guitar booth for Michael Wilton's signing alongside Lamb of God's, Willy Adler, and FireWind's, Gus G.  We had so much fun here and the fans were great.  We also got to say Hello to some new friends.

Then we met up with Mike Stone (Queensryche) for their signing down at Seymour Duncan’s booth this year which, by the way, hosted two of my live photos from a recent Queensryche tour shoot.  This was very cool for me!

Next stop was Samson/Zoom where I was to photograph more Queensryche members, Eddie Jackson (Bass) ......, and (Drummer) Scott Rockenfeld along with Mike Stone.  And if that was not enough, John 5 (Rob Zombie), Piggy D (Rob Zombie) and Tommy Clufetos (Rob Zombie) as well as JD DeSiservio (BLS) we all signing as well.  Now this was a fun shoot and JD will probably never forgive me for posting this shot.......but he looks so damn cute!
