Steadyfall is an alternative rock group that brings a powerful show along with great songs to the stage at any venue they could possibly set foot on.

Founded in 2005, members Jacob Roper (vox, lead), Drew Green (rhythm), Steven Richardson (bass), and Tony Grissom (drums) came together to form what is now a four piece band. In the beginning, long practice hours across many practice days were first in line for the band to try to overcome in order to get the heavy alternative sound they guys were looking for. Writing periods and demo recordings went by while Steadyfall gained the confidence needed to play in front of large groups of people. "The feeling of being up there is intense," says Green, "you never know what's going to happen."

The band's first show came about and it was time to show what they really had as a confident band. "I was a little bit nervous, but it seemed to work out really well. The crowd response was better than i expected, even though they were drunk," says Tony.

Months passed for the band as more songs, demos, and shows were played. A day spent in Nashville led the four-some to meet Steve Smith (Tootsie's Bar in Nashville). Steve liked the demo the band had recorded, though it was poor quality. So to help the guys out, Steve directed them to his number one producer is Franklin, TN, P.T. Houston.

Steadyfall went up to P.T. to record their first professional quality demo in the Off the Road Record's studio. Long hours and determination resulted in the band's first three songs on a professional sounding CD. Deep in Me, All That You Hate, and You're All Wrong became a hit among local fans, and the word spread that Steadyfall has something great forming on their hands.

When playing venues all over Tennessee including the Wildhorse Saloon, Fuel, 820 Showcase, and others, a fan base from many cities in and out of Tennessee started to come together. Through Myspace and Purevolume, hundreds of listeners came across the boys adding them to their friends list or adding them to their favorites on their personal page.

Now that the word was growing that Steadyfall is getting established and has a good band, different radio, recording, and show opportunities started to come across the table for the band to take advantage of.

Currently, Steadyfall has recorded their first album "Whatever You Say...." via Off the Road Records. A few of the songs can be heard at the bands Myspace or Purevolume and their cd's and merchandise can be bought at their online store or through the members themselves.

Support this up and coming band to see and help them reach the levels they are meant to reach.
