Stonegate was started in October of 2002 with original members Peter Brauchle Brauchle-guitars/drums, Jake Brenenstall-keys, Ken Thomas- vocals, and Jacob Long on bass. After about a year and a half of playing shows, the band decided that it would sound better without a bassist. So due to the bands decision and to other musical intrest he wanted to pursue, Jacob left the band. Until recently, Stonegate was aknowledged as a 3 peice band and continued to play shows mostly in the Knoxville, Birmingham, Huntsville, Decatur, and Nashville area. As of May 2006, John Adkins was picked up to play rhythm guitar. This addition to the band opened up a new dimention to Stonegate's sound and direction, making the over all end product more brutal and more aggressive.
