The band n.u.m.b..(never underestimate my band) spawned in Chattanooga, TN in the summer 1996. The roots of n.u.m.b. tried unsuccessfully to take hold in Chattanooga. After two years of trying they moved to Knoxville, TN to begin again. This is when the magic began-putting n.u.m.b.. on the path of what it is today. The foundation of the bands sound is in place. A solid and defined n.u.m.b.. begins hitting the local Knoxville scene. Sounding tight and adding some cover songs to the playlist, they quickly gain a base of loyal and enthusiastic fans who are drawn to their original music and lyrics. With its hard hitting sound and awesome stage presence, n.u.m.b. is a rock beast to be watched.

Chris 'Bato' Gravelin, lyrical poet and co-founder of the band, adds his own flair of funk and attitude to N.U.M.B.'s personality.

Mick Adkins (guitarist) the driving force behind N.U.M.B. and one of its founding members, is a local Knox Vegas rocker of 12 years. He lends his musical talents to the creation of N.U.M.B.'s original music and style.

Travis Strunk (bassist) local Knoxville dark lord of the bass, hammers out the driving rhythms that get the N.U.M.B fans jumping and slamming.

Wes Harber (keys & mixers) adds the dash of electronic sounds and melodies to the recipe, giving N.U.M.B. a sound that is more than just a hardcore band.

Josh Maples (drummer) keeps the pulse of N.U.M.B. strong and steady with beats ranging from grind core to hard core.
