Who is Gear Driven?

The earliest incarnation of Gear Driven happened in late 2001 in Dickson, Tennessee (a small town about a half-hour's drive west of Nashville) when country boys Tommie Wynn and David Jones, long-time friends and frequent casual musical partners, decided to take a serious stab at playing music professionally by assembling a rock band. They began writing songs and looking for players to provide a rhythm section. They hired a drummer shortly thereafter and began the search for a bass player. After several unsuccessful auditions, a good friend of Tommie and David's, Jerry Work, tried out on bass after his own band disbanded. Jerry had never actually played bass before, but his style immediately clicked, and the band was complete. Four drummers later, the Gear Driven lineup is rock solid (with the addition of new drummer Ronnie Carrol) and ready to rock the world with its brand of downhome, foot stomping heavy ass rock ("Heavy Southern" as the band likes to call it).
