About chestrockwell
In July of 2004 Chest Rockwell was formed by Josh Hines (vocals, guitar), Nick Rouse (drums), and Nick Stewart (bass, keyboard). The band hails from Bowling Green, KY and quickly found themselves alone in the local scene due to the fact that no one could pinpoint what to call their sound and who to book them with. With that in mind, the band hit the road and played every venue, dive bar, and coffee shop possible in every city and state within a few hundred mile radius. Chest has had radio play on various rock and college stations throughout the country and had news coverage on WBKO 13, an affiliate of ABC. The band has had photos and write-ups on the front page of the Bowling Green Daily News as well as photos and articles in the WKU College Heights Herald, and the Amplifier. 4 songs were recorded in the winter of 2004 that were made into a free promo release and some copies were even distributed in various places in Germany and France.

After a long year of hard work and constant travel, in August of 2005 Chest Rockwell entered Negative Earth Studios to record 5 songs to be packaged with the previously recorded 4 and 1 bonus track and finally put out a full length album entitled "Back To Square One". Shortly after the album was finished a 4th member, Seth Wilson, was added on guitar and keyboard. Feeling complete and optimistic, the band is looking to promote the album as heavily as possible and play to all the old crowds and hopefully some new ones. There are no rockstar attitudes or ridiculous monetary demands to be made, this is about music coming straight from the very essence of these young men and wanting to spread it to as many people as possible. Chest Rockwell take themselves lightly and their craft seriously and love nothing more than making interesting music and giving it generously to the public.
