Biography

Biography

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist and vision behind "Auto Defiance" , Bradlee, was born into a family of musical affluence and song. His grandmother was a classical pianist, and his Uncle was an Opera singer. With his first guitar he began writing songs at age 13, singing, recording, and performing with his first band at 19.

Gaining experience in his early 20's; writing, recording, and crafting his sound, he performed various shows both solo acoustic, as well as with a band. He performed at such venues as "The Warehouse", Clarksville, TN, while in the U.S. Army. During an inspirational writing period, he performed at "The Rudyard Kipling", "Wick's Pizza", and "O'sheas", in Louisville, KY. Moving to Nashville, TN. to begin recording, he performed for larger crowds at "12th and Porter", "The End", and "Rites O Spring" at Vanderbilt University. Captivated by powerful emotional singers such as Bono, Robert Smith and Jeff Buckley, he pushed himself to more interesting songwriting, and has now found a voice of his own.

As a BMI songwriter, and recording artist, he has formed his own music publishing company. A sound marked by high energy guitars and unique vocal melodies the likeness of early U2 or Radiohead, the music is energy driven yet has an open atmosphere. The Auto Defiance is currently teaming up with other talented musicians and producers building strong relationships in the music industry. Their songs have also been selected to be licensed in indie film and television, as well as a positive response from various myspace friends around the world.

This is not your typical Nashville rock, but a dreamy, post-punk, acoustic-meets-electric sound.
