Conceived in 2004, [agent] began as little more than an afterthought. Guitarist/Composer Joe King was in the midst of the Nashville music scene as a member of local rock act Mack the Knife. After the break-up of MTK, he realized his desire to create a band that would introduce rock fans to- not only a new sound and quality of performance, but an as of yet unseen aesthetic as well. Joe recruited longtime friend and vocalist Logan Hamner as collaborative partner, and [agent], in theory, was born. Following the end of Mack the Knife, Joe went on to join local super group the_everafters. During a stint w/ the_everafters that would see them tour regionally and open for such acts as STAIND, Breaking Benjamin, Socialburn, and Evans Blue among others, Joe continued to hone his song writing craft to a razors edge and catalog a library of ideas for later use. With the_everafters disbanding in 2006, Joe wasted no time in turning his attention to the The matter at hand of bringing [agent] to life. Logan, who had since joined local band Shrinking Violet, was quickly reconfirmed and the stage was set. It was about this time that one of Joes favorite Nashville drummers, Kenny Comeaux of local space-rockers Sans Seraph, was approached to join in the formative processes of writing and recording.
