Native Kentuckians/Nashville transplants Big Jim Slade, came together in the year of 19 and 97.

Big Jim Slade has released three INDEPENDENT albums (Plant Life-1998, Big Jim Slade-2000, Pacify The Herd-2002), which you should give a good listen, played shows all across the states, won the 1998 Citysearch.com Battle of the Bands in Nashville, TN, and the 1999 Ernie Ball Local Battle of the Bands in Paducah, KY. Big Jim Slade performed at SXSW 2001, Atlantis 2002, and were chosen as a featured artist on the 2001 MP3.com/Heineken Compilation CD (250,000 copies distributed in U.S.). BJS also performed at the Atlanta, GA date of the 2003 Vans Warped Tour. Big Jim Slade is also host of a regular Live Band Karaoke show at Mercy Lounge
